Dr Nicole Lim is a comprehensive general ophthalmologist with a sub-speciality interest in glaucoma. She has a relaxed nature and priorities education and clear communication with her patients and referring clinicians, to provide excellent patient-centred care.


She has undertaken two clinical glaucoma fellowships – with a year at Wellington Regional Hospital (NZ) and a year at The Bristol Eye Hospital (UK). She has gained expertise in managing complex glaucoma and glaucoma surgery including filtration, Preserflo Micro-shunt and tube surgery, minimally invasive treatments, and complex cataract surgery. She is actively involved in a clinical trial and audits investigating two different glaucoma micro-shunts. 


Nicole obtained her undergraduate medical degree from the University of Newcastle (NSW). During her internship years she went on to complete a Master of International Public Health from the University of Sydney, driven by her interest in global and equitable health. 


As a graduate of the Prince of Wales Ophthalmology training program, she has enjoyed providing outreach services to remote and indigenous communities through the Broken Hill Base Hospital and Outback Eye Service in Far-West NSW. 


Nicole is committed to medical education and has been actively involved in teaching medical students, optometrists and trainees throughout her career.
